Actually, i formed the channel for all astronomers alike, else i would got a channel #NPAC. So the idea of a NPAC channel ONLY may occured to you as a miscommunication? If yes, i apologize then.
I think we can consider this next time. Its not impossible to incoporate in. But our members now is still too few....there will be too few people at any one time to use the chat-room.
From my experience, you need about 2000 and above members to have a really effective chat room.
Whoa VinSnr, scaring people here ah... I don't think need so many as 2000 members. Anyway how are we going to get 2000 members in an ASTRONOMY forum? It's certainly a challenge, but an impossible one.
However, the minimum for a chat room is still certainly what we cannot afford here. My experience tells me about 500++ members will do, since all of us are in the same time zone.
Well, enough of our clubs. But i think having a chatroom will certainly serve well to most of us in the future. It will give us a real-time Q&A to our newbies and instant activation to CSN. But better not rush into it till our forums are established.
