Re: DSO imagery from Mersing
I'll be sure to add N95 masks to my packing list next trip at this rate!

Hi Folks,
Here's the collection from the recent June trip! Featuring mostly HA emission nebulae from the Summer Milky Way area.
All photos taken using FSQ85ED-ST8300M and tracked with Losmandy G11/G2.
The Lagoon and Trifid Nebulae (M8 and M20)
Crop of the Lagoon
Crop of the Trifid Region
Prawn Nebula (IC 4628) and NGC 6231
Crop of IC 4628
The Fighting Dragons of Ara (NGC 6188 and 6164)
Lambda Centauri Nebula/Running Chicken (IC 2944)
Thanks for Looking!

Nice images Ivan. I like the "Fighting Dragons" very much. I do not think I had a chance to image this nebula sofar.

Thanks kochu! Yes it shines quite brightly in the narrowband wavelengths too, so it is possible to do an SHO version from Singapore. The image here is actually a HaRGB composite.kochu wrote:Nice images Ivan. I like the "Fighting Dragons" very much. I do not think I had a chance to image this nebula sofar.

Hi everyone,
Here are some images from last weekend. Since there wasn't an official trip going down, I went along with a few of the folks from here over the weekend. All images are taken with an 85mm refractor and CCD camera.
1. The Andromeda Galaxy
100 minutes LRGB
2. The Eagle Nebula
150 minutes HaRGB
3. The Helix Nebula
210 minutes LRGB
4. The Western Veil Nebula
90 minutes LRGB
Thanks for looking!

Re: DSO imagery from Mersing
wow...the images are awesome, Ivan..! Andromeda especially..
As I noted, last weekend had a bright moon around, so I guess much lesser visuals and more photgraphy
