Dehumidifier

Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!

Homefix sells them starting from $99 for the smallest units.
We do it in the dark...

I use Keter plastic cupboard with 5W light bulb like in the old army camp of keeping optical equipment.
The cupboard is available from NTUC @ Serangoon Nex for about $100. I use plastic adhesive tape to cover the gaps. Humidity is kept at about RH 60%.

You could also get a cupboard, seal up the gaps reasonably well ( no need to be 100% airtight) and then chuck the mini peltier based dehumidifier in there. It should do a good job.

Else I like the idea of getting a compressor based novita from best denki/ hardly normal, then put that in your storeroom which is airtight. Get one that can run till a preset humidity setting(eg 60%) else it will be running 24/7. They cost in the range of 200+ till 600 but the lower end of the scale should do the trick

go saf armskote and steal their wooden dehumid cupboard.. that 1 is a pretty good cupboard [smilie=ahaaah.gif]
