Alright, this is for sharing of your observation experience. Or, if you are arranging gatherings, star-gazing expeditions or just want some company to go observing together, you can shout it out here.

Hi,
Today as I wake up at around 4am, the weather was quite good and I can see quite a lots of star(am I dreaming???)... too tired so go back to sleep... :(

By the way, this friday(24/10) is a public hoilday, so anyone going to do overnight observation at Bedok Reservoir on 23, 24 or 25 night... ???

mmm... is the new "in" place Bedok reservoir? If the sky is clear, I would likely pop down to Dempsey instead. Its darker there and I prefer having the option to drive all the way there and deploy the scope next to the car.

For bedok reservoir, have to worry about parking tickets and lug the scope down to the water edge....

why not change to dempsey? I have not had the chance to meet you yet or see your mak + helical focuser..

but back to reality....monsoon is here and of course, sky is bad...
I hope the satellite pics show some improvement, else it would be another wasted holiday and super long weekend for me!

It's not bad now at Toa Payoh Central actually (1:30am), I just stuck my head out of the window and I can see the whole of Cassiopeia and Auriga in the North and a setting Mars (very bright) in the west.

Hi,
If you guys really willing to stay for the whole night regradless of weather, than go to dempsey road will be no problem... I don't want to be left alone there while you all guys go home and sleep when the weather turn bad... I live in Tampines and no car... :(

Anyway, I observe that the weather always turn quite good after mid-night and turn cloudy again in the morning... :)

tampines? have you checke the old yahoogroups database on who lives near you? maybe you can carpool? there's actually 2 choices. if sky clear, cc starts 9pm and for those taking public transport, they leave around 11pm -12 am.
worse come to worse, if possible, I can also give you a lift...
