Sorry if I confused you, I do not own any C8. That C8 is belong to NYP astro club, I only bring my CG5-GT to the Batu Layar trip where we test out C8 with CG5-GT setup.
I got a few items from Singastro members and Singastro vendor, have to say that all of them are nice and have some good offer. Price is only one aspect of purchase, they have more to offer than the lowest price. Ask around, you might be lucky
Ok, to answer your :?: , some online shop charge sale tax and local shipping. Singapore Post charge 5% GST if your total payment exceed S$400. Other hidden cost include: condition of item received is not to your expectation or worst!! missing item, also no warranty coverage for celestron if you buy from US (you pay for service if needed).
