I would be happy to invite my school astro club down too, but the timing is a little odd for us to bring our telescopes there (ie. cannot return the scopes back to the school at 11+pm...)

Hmm.. quantum gravity, any chance that a teacher can allow you all to return on Monday?

If not, your club can come down to look at all the scopes and at Mars anyway. If the club wants to volunteer in any way you're more than welcome.

Cheers,
Chris

Update:
All the volunteers needed have been filled. Thanks Omega, SPastro and RPastro! :) :)

People who wish to bring scopes to share with the public are still welcome. Please let us know online here.

Since this is a official event, schools and institutions may wish to apply to draw their scopes for an overnight session on that evening. See if it may be possible to return them Sunday morning of on Monday.

Cheers,
Chris
