I thought you had the answer already in your Cloudynight post? My suggestion is just to get an electric dry cabinet. You will need it eventually. Initially I thought it was too expensive and tried a few DIY solutions - in the end, I had to write-off a fungus affected bino and decided to use an electric dry cabinet instead. All other solutions require you to monitor the status of the dessicant regularly, and 'recharge' them when spent. If you forget, it's as good as not having any. If you have already spent a few thousands on your equipment, what is a few hundred dollars more to protect them?

Hi Andrew, actually, yeah, I got the answer, but that dessicant thing costs about $70US + shipping each..buying for both my scopes will come up to $200+ ... a little more can get a dry cab liao .... 
That's why I posted here asking if anyone knew where to get silica gel packs ...
Just thought of using a cheap solution.
You're right, a dry cab is prob cheaper in the long run, but then I'll need to get 2 ... and not only money, space is a problem. At least now I can put diff scopes, binos and lenses in diff cupboards and rooms ... if I get a dry cab, I need to find space for 2 large cabs - even in 2 rooms it will take some space...
I'll prob go and think some more and see what I can come up with. Thanks!
