Lunar Mosaic 02-Apr-06

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

nice project you have there! i don't seem to be able to detect seams at this resolution. Focus is very close too and dynamic range is just about right. Was there a little haze present when you took the upper portion of the cusp of the moon? Good job!
Thanks dear,

As I don't know how, don't have long exposure camera and track drive yet, I capture moon mostly. ;O)

I like Maxlm DL for Mosaic. Actually as I don't have a track drive I can't take long avi and the original avi that I've taken was terrible. The moon was too low and very windy at that time. I think there are too much haze around the moon.

After stacked, not bad. Thanks to RegiStax! :D

then it is an even more amazing effort considering the low altitude conditions and non-tracking drive! :-)
MaxIm DL -> novel piece of software...but $$$...
