I'm assuming you are all joking, right?
In today's market, unless you already have good stuff and no hurry, its unforgiveable for a company to put any of their customers on a waiting list that stretches more than a year.
It may be true for televue, tmb back then but nowadays, those chinese OEM companies are really narrowing the gap and developing at a much faster pace then the establised ones. they don't need to meet the same standards, just close to it and at a fraction of the price would have wiped out a big market share of the incumbents...unless they thinkselling one really solid scope will cover in place of selling many more cheaper ones...
Just a thought. I'm not one of those who are patient to go into the queue...I'm grumbling when I wait more than 5 min in the Mac queue!

Tell this is to AP. It will be miraculous if you can ever get a new AP scope without waiting for at least a year.

Hi,

That's why now they'll (Astro-physics) only produce large and high end APO scope.

Have a nice day.

Such companies need to charge a very high premium to make up for the loss of volume. I wonder how long they will last with such a policy unless they have lots of regular scopes to sell and such "special" items are a separate indulgence to create some excitement....
