soulfrost, there's no need to fear la, this place/forum/organisation itself is for everyone interested in astronomy to know one another. I think everyone started out not knowing one another also what, at least i did.. All you have to do next time, is find out one of the hp contact of those going where you joining, and inform them you're new and you'd like to come. I don't think anybody will reject you. All you've gotta do is just stand and listen to learn more la.
