Has the service level of SingPost declined?

Maybe Singpost needs some good competition! That will really wake them up. My opinion is that too many companies in Singapore have maintained monopoly for so long it's time to make a change to make them offer more competitive services. A good example would be how I think Starhub fares better than Singtel now in the mobile phone sector, which was closed to competition quite some years back..
Is there any link somewhere to that forum page?

I have an 11" dob ready in US...now I wondering if I should use Vpost. Somemore there is an 11" mirror....think I better dun take the risk.
For cheaper option, ask Jim to send the mirror via insured Fedex (not UPS!!!) and structure via Vpost (which is DHL, btw).
I had a nightmare last month with UPS singapore when I sent a barlow lens to Italy. Bearing in mind that using oversized box will incur more charges, I used my own package, a small handphone box to pack the barlow lens. At first, UPS quoted me SGD 84; however 20 days later, they billed SGD 655 from my credit card, I was shocked and called them. They replied "your shipment weighs 20 Kg"! Btw, their customer service hotline is always busy and unreachable.
Now the credit card company has suspended the payment and starts to interrogate the issue with UPS singapore.

 haven't tried yet.

Btw, I managed to call their customer service once (redirect from their internal line), finally, the person who replied me was from UPS HongKong!! :?:
