Hi guys, this talk is open to the public right? I am new to this forum and has been interested in space science and meteorology since young. I would like to be part of this talk too!

So, is there a directory or arrows to guide us in there, supposing if I take a bus?

I'm coming for this NUS talk too (after the other solar talk by Dr Low at NTU)... and will join the star-party that follows (weather-permiting).

Belated Thanks to Mr Chia YK for delivering an interesting talk on meteor hunting in Singapore. Thanks to his videos, at least I now know how a Iridium flare looks like..heh heh
Thanks also to Remus for helping to make the event happened.
There were alot of people there and I see Mooey even brought his brood of junior Jedi disciples from some school..heh heh
The Singastro attendance list...Mr Au, Carol, Richard II, Ian, Wu Chee Yuin, Alvin Lee, Andrew "Tachyon", Woei Jiin, Faisal, JiaYuan, Chris Yeo, Remus, Mooey plus Mooey's "twin brother" whose name eludes me presently...sorry...
I think I saw Lily there too or at least I saw the back view! Who did Ileave out??

In anycase, the talk gave us an insight as to how Chia set up his equipment, actual videos of the meteors he caught...including some cool fireballs. Glad that he is helping put Singapore on the Meteor Hunting worldmap with his efforts. Keep up the good work!

Twin brother? Fraternal or identical? Both Jingguo and Jin Peng were there! Which junior Jedi is the twin brother? :)

Yes, I was there sitting amongst the school kids. Sorry I still couldn't quite figure out who is who, except those of you who I met at JUM party. Will do better after a few more talks & star parties.

Here are pictures from the event.

A great many people were there. This talk was publicised not just in Singastro but with various other groups such as the nature society!

Thanks Mr Chia!

Hope we have more talks like these!

That "nature society" which publicised the talk is Ria Tan's WildSingapore

Indeed, astronomy is nature on a grand scale... I dubbed it as "meta-nature".
