tripod head?

Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!

Airconvent, your prices are already outdated... :) eg, new 410 head is now more than $300, all other Manfrotto prices have also increased recently.

Collin, with the 40mm 2" EP with 2 deg TFOV, you don't need a 50mm finder, as a Telrad or Rigel Quikfinder will do the job, and lessen the load. This works well for me.

I still think the 410 head is best. It can use interchangeable base plates for other scopes and cameras, quick release and most important of all...slo-mo control for higher power observation of planets.

Between the 410 and Astroslew, I will say the Astroslew (though heavier) is better, even at high magnification, though the 410 serves adequately enough for small scopes.

Weixing,
Yup mine is the Microstar Deluxe. Very easy to mount as it has the saddle plate and easy to adjust the balance. I think the normal microstar would be good enough.
