Another great combo!
Richard, if the mirror box is 19"x19"x19", you MIGHT be able to use the structure for your 15" mirror. Just replace the UTA with a bigger one.

I THINK it may not be able to fit because the Obsession 15 inch has minimum width of 21 inch and it has the smallest box out there. That is considering size only. There may be mechanical issues that has to be addressed; perhaps the tailgate and mirror support has to be changed because a 15 inch is significantly larger than the 11 inch. However, maybe some modifications to the box will allow a 15 inch mirror to fit and be held stable on the mirror cell.

Hey Vin, why not mount it on a tracking platform? You can still do video astronomy with it.
Thought about it, but a few difficulties which I find is a hassle. First of all, due to the height of the scope, the cables to the video camera will be all over the place. I might even have to extend the length of the cables. Secondly, the Mallicam Hyper colour comes with a reducer and according to the manufacturer, newtonian scopes may not have enough in-travel focus for the reducer to work. Still an SCT is best for this kind of work.
I still believe that scope like this one is meant to be appreciated in alt-azi mode. And it is a good scope to tinker about since you can modify anything with it. I also like the fact that the ground board is round, unlike some scopes which use triangle ground board. A round ground board can be use immediately if you wish to add things like Servo Cat or DobDriver 2 in the future. A triangle ground board will have to be dump away if you intend to go that route.

newtonian scopes may not have enough in-travel focus <==y not shift the mirror up or get shorter truss tubes?
for my portaball, it's pretty easy to shift the mirror up and down to accomodate all my eyepieces.
