There is a misspelling. The correct link is:

http://www.singastro.org/album_pic.php?pic_id=686

Image

Why does the comet head appear elongated? Is that due to the long exposure?

Richard , you finally see the image of the comet we took in Australia... :)

We had a great time while we are in blue mountains. The three sisters was magnificent and the nearby accommodation was heavenly (after what we've been through in Lostock) !

Its a little wasted though , the blue mountains were badly affected by bush fires occurring in the summer. Trees badly burned and the waterfalls are all dried up because of the dry weather (else Govett's leap would be a magnificent sight) !

Coming back to SG , we don't quite have the 'dobsville' we had in Lostock . Until then , i will have to stick with the C5 staring at polluted skies.

Until then..

Regards,
Sam

I want to wellcome you also here on this forum, Arthur.
For me, from Europe is also as for you, a very friendly and nice forum here.
As to stay at Comet McNaught, on the south side of the world you had a nice advantage to watch the comet. We only saw the comet for a short time, most in the early evening.
