The sky looks promising, very little cloud (low) on the western half, some bigger low cloud on the eastern half. All moving northward, far south NO cloud. I believe the sky is on our side, see all of you at about 10pm.

Latest as of 8.45pm, small fast moving low clouds moving north, ob is ON.

Thanks Cliff for organising this outing.

Pity RLow didn't have chance to sample the jumbo fish balls. Next time will get the jumbo curry puffs on top of the jumbo fish balls. It is twice the size of a normal curry puff and has generous fillings filled with Tuna, Chicken, Chicken Mushroom or Potatoes.

Perhaps we can even escalate it to a full-blown picnic cum BBQ as suggested by some of you :P

Ray, thank you for the jumbooo fishball

:( :( the sky got worst as time passes, well the sky may not be good but the "party" was really fun. :D :D Looking forward for the giant curry puff for the party and the giant laksa for supper. Now we call it STAR party and not Ob session (2 or 3 in 1 you know).

Using laser pointer as a replacement to the little finder scope (8x25) was great. It was so easy to do the alignment (center the star) for my ETX. In the past, always found the wrong star in the little finder scope during alignment. Now, the target objects alway fall near the center in the ep when GOTO activated. Oh, the widescan III ep got from Remus was great too. :D :D 2 catches for the night. :D :D Saw ring neb with it even the sky is not great, thanks Remus for passing on the great ep.

At last saw Rlow 11" in action as well as James new toy, great stuff.

By the way 11 who turn up were ACC + friend, RLow, Ian, Zong, Ray, James, Mark, Fung Ling, Me and son (Wenbin). Chee Chien, what is the name of your friend , saw him twice, still call recall his name.

By the way, will have the STAR party again next Fri (13 Jun 07) same place same time, hope to have more food and more fun. oh oh Friday the 13th,  annyyyyonneeee iiiisssss aaaaafraaaiidddd. Will start a new post for it.

No problems with the fish balls. Glad to donate something to make the night more interesting mah....

Err, I don't think you can eat 2-3 jumbo fish balls, jumbo curry puffs and giant bowl of laksa in one night leh. The huge $4 laksa is located at EAT @Railmall (Upper Bt Timah) and is 24hrs.
3-Stars rating....die die must try. Hmm...if you can actually eat the jumbo fish balls, curry puffs and laksa in one night, then you surely will die :P

I can't make it on 13 Jul as I got 24hrs duties the next day leh.

Hope we can continue this and make it a regular STAR party :) Yes, it was very fun even though we "still saw the same old things only.." The food is nice, especially the jumbo fishballs... Everyone should come Turf City if only to try the fishballs! Worth it

Hi Clifford, my friend's name is Kenneth; he is there more to enjoy the fresh air than a real astro buff :)

Too bad the sky wasn't too good but its nice observing the 'new' Jupiter :) Thanks to Clifford for organising and to Raymond for the fishballs.
We do it in the dark...
