Sculptor (DSLR version)

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

Hiya, still caught! I did not have flat frames, so I will use healing brush. Yah I did 1 run of Xterminator only in the above pic. Its a radial graident in the full pic. but I think it's ok, this pic the S/N is so low, not really worth improving it by more processing. Next time I try to take higher S/N pics then process more carefully. This pic posterises easily due to low S/N. hehehe.

nothing escapes mac displays i guess, like all my pictures too! :(

i wish i could avoid flat framing too, it takes additional time in a typical session, but to excel in good images, there is no free lunch. take it or leave it (as u said!).

Luckily this donut has no stars so I still can use healing brush. If there are stars, I must do flat fielding. No no, I will first remove dust from the sensor and coma corrector first.

Hehe. Can't wait to see what ATIK and VC 200L can do!
