I've passed the SV102ED - it's more a visual scope. I'm eyeing the SV90T.

Hmmm? You'd better tell me where you buy your Takahashi stuff from, cuz I might want to buy some too.

TSA102S costs $2695. The SV90T costs $1995. A cool $700 difference.

SV90T is f7, the TSA102 is f8. And the SV90T uses a true Flourite element. Don't know what the TSA has but I'm guessing FPL53. The SV90T also includes the best focuser hands down. The Starlight Instruments Feathertouch!!

However, the TSA is quite imager friendly, 2.7" focuser, camera rotator and angle adjustor. Just need to jerry rig a robofocus to the rnp focuser.

I bought it from Japan. Recently we can use VpostJapan. It is not difficult to buy one. TSA102s is even cheaper than WO-ZS 110.

The TSA102 has very good colour correction as well, better than the FS102 generations. If one could afford, the FSQ106ED would be excellent as well, but certainly it is geared towards imaging in mind. The SV90T Bino-friendly version certainly does look great, but wondered why the dew shield is usually big! Has anyone done a comparison of the SV90T with the Sky90II? I have owned the latter before, and it has resonably fine correction in secondary colour, but am wondering if the SV90T offers a better deal. The SV102ED certainly looks good enough to be a quick visual scope and perhaps some imaging work as well, not forgetting its attractive price. BTW, someone in Singapore has a TSA102.

I usually go to buy from Japan :) I prefer Kyoei and Starbase at Akihabara.

You can pay by Visa at the Kyoei online shop

But I have never tried.

FYI, the price of Takahashi scopes (except mirror scopes) will increase about 6% from October.
