About time to buy bigger apos?

Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!

hmm..usd getting weaker day by day 1.45:1 now. and i seem to be getting weaker and weaker to the temptation day by day. seems like quite a few option pop out after a little more hunting.

tmb 130ss 4k usd
tak toa-130 4k usd as per anat
meade 127ed series 5000 2k usd <==that's cheap
borg 125ed 2.3k usd used (should i?)
flt 132 3.8k usd (doesn't seem that nice when the tmb 130ss only cost 4k)
sv130ed 2.3k usd? (not yet out, i wonder how it's like)
meade 127ed f/9 1.5k usd used (older model)
meade ar-5 1k usd with lxd-75 (heh, maybe all i need is an achro)

someone was talking abt the tmb 130ss sometime ago, did anyone buy that yet?

i wonder wat kind of mount do i need for visual use. none of them look that light to me.

I believe Meade has decided NOT to make the 127ED 5000.

Yeah... OPT doesn't have any. It is preorder only. Last I heard Meade is not going to make it.

Hi, you may want to consider the Vixen ED 115S that I am letting go

http://www.singastro.org/viewtopic.php? ... highlight=

Large APOs need really strong mounts, otherwise wind or tiny vibrations will send the views wobbling.

Ed 115S requires GPDX and HAL 110 tripod minimum to hold it properly.
Larger sizes like TOA 130 or FLT 132 needs G11 or EM200 to hold them steadily.
