DSOs from Punggai

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

Hehe, so lesson of the day for me: choose alignment stars near the object to align when the image has distortions.

On a website, I saw people testing Megrez 72 with WO reducer and Televue 0.8x reducer, it turns out that the televue reducer does the job better. Seems like i got to spend money again.

which website? have you thought about the AP telecompressor from Astrophysics? It is quite cheap too relative to AP terms about 70% of the price of the 0.8 from Televue and it falls within the suggested focal ratio range.

Remus: This website

You mean this telecompressor?

my scope is f6.9 so should be ok. Hmmm, I think its time that I do some research on the reducers that work with the scope. I think the WO 80FD is a pretty good scope. Too bad TMB didnt make a specific matching flattener/reducer for it.

Clliford: Hey your wide field shots are very nice also. Do post them.

Hey thanks to all your compliments.

This time starshoot autoguider works very well. SS2k simply brings the object into the ccd view. Atik never condense water. WO focuser is tightened a lot such that it never slips. ST80 focuser is tightened very much also! Sigh the only bad thing is the worng reducer spacing and insect bites on me. [smilie=bye2.gif]
