bet they would sell 50-100x the amount of scope they sell now if they were to adjust the prices to be competitive. how many newbies walk past that store, got scared off by the prices and never touch astronomy again. if they ever sell the firstscope 80 + altazi mount for around $300-400, we would have 3-4x the population here.

anyway i'm not a great fan of celestron either, who cares abt celestron at those exotic prices, there's always wee kiong(meade dealer) if u wan a sct. at the price they ask for a c8, i could already get myself a nice mewlon 180 from remus.
