Well,the best is stick to one hobby like what I did and slowly upgrade your stuff.From age 10,I get hook by astronomy and now had all kinds of stuff;bino and whatnot-well perhaps waiting for a takahashi!.;cost per day is only about $1.50.My 2 cents.

yes wee ern, so what have you got recently? :)

I guess people have to be rational in getting things. Its probably ok if those items are within your financial capability, else you will be looking for trouble.

The investment from courtship is priceless! Something unaffordable to everyone else around you but only exclusive to yourself. That is to have children!!
And they can replace my telescopes anytime especially during cloudy nights!
A smile and a hug after work is better than a supernova!
My wife never complained about how much time, effort & money I spent on my Astronomy hobby!................suddenly I met her!!!

@Joo Beng:
Hey! No fair....u got more 'Yes' than 'No'...HAHA!

Or politically correct,...when she looks at you with a stern but 'your my husband and it's your money' look! Just make sure you spend time with the kids more than your scopes! And leaves alone to play with your toys and your wondering how approved is the approval!
