been getting calls and smses today on the session status for tonight... seems like it just might be a good turn-out....right now, can see blue sky against white puffy clouds...at least it is not totally overcast or raining...if nothing last-minute happens to the weather, the session should be on tonight. Hopefully, those coming, if you have telescopes, can bring them too, since if the session is sizable, there can be more instruments for observing. There will be an additional need to test someone's refractor in this session. As for observing, Mars should be up after eight...so around nine plus and beyond, it should offer suitable viewing close-up, and plus the other bright DSOs available up there. see u!

me too. Remembered it this afternoon and then got distracted by Star Wars with the kids.
Hope the session was good today. It had been a long time since I went to the Eunos site. In fact it was the very first Singastro obs I ever went to.![cool [smilie=cool.gif]](./images/smilies/cool.gif)

heya!
Session was very good tonight, think it was the clear sky (near cloudless the whole time!) that helped greatly. Turn-out was quite big compared to past Eunos observations. Though the grass on the field had grown considerably, we all thought the nice cool breeze helped to keep mosquitoes to a minimum. Mars was the showpiece of the night with its huge polar cap and albedo features. Other DSOs under eyepiece scrutiny were clusters in Auriga, the Great Orion Nebula, M41 cluster in Canis Major, the Eskimo nebula in Gemini, etc. We had quite a few array of telescopes, really nice ones! Err...and fabulously nice eyepieces as well! It was also good to meet new-comers such as Pete (majestic) and Guangwei (guangwei), as well as good 'ol astro friends like Junwei, Sam Chng, etc...
Here are some photos to share...

Junwei (left) helping Chee Yiun (right) to set up the Mewlon 210 system.

Hon Pui looks through the Mewlon 210 while a beaming Chee Yiun poses.

Guangwei looking at M42 (i think!) while Kelvin curiously looks on.

Junwei's girlfriend looking through a very nice Nagler on another Mewlon 210 (belonging to Kelvin).

Michael (part of the twin brothers) figuring out how to mount the Takahashi rare triplet, FCT76, quite a jewel!

Lots of helping hands to prepare the FCT76 for viewing.

New-comer, Pete (majestic) enjoying DSO views with the Mewlon 210.

The twin brothers (Michael and Terry) taking peaks through the FCT 76 and the AP130GT mounted side by side on the G11.
