No the baffle tube in an SCT is this long tube that goes through the hole in the primary mirror. It's the long tube at 9 o'clock on this diagram, which goes through the mirror:

The baffles you refer to are for refractor. The marketing is that more baffles is better (10 > 2). But TeleVue notably uses no baffles at all in their scopes, and nobody has bad things to say about TeleVue.

On the 8" SCT, this tube is only 1.5" in diameter, so it would badly vignette a full-frame sensor (black corners) and still vignette an APS-C sensor. If you want to image with an SCT or Cat, better get the C11 or higher, or something like a Vixen VC200L or an R-C.
