Punggai Trip 13/11/10 - event and astrophotography

Yes it did happen, but unfornately the clouds (and RAIN) followed us too... on the second night we did managed to catch fleeting moments of Orion, Pleiades, and Auriga. But the company of astro friends were good, lots of catching up, playing with the cats, astro chatting, etc.

looks like the monsoon season will be carried over to feb.. it always ends around CNY..

Hi everyone......

Just found out from the organizer that this coming March 11th to 13th, all 50 seats for the Punggai trip is fully booked......

Hope this time round , the weather is not the same as the January month......

There's actually another Chalet in Punggai (I went to it the last time in error) - Why not try to see if it has space left? I think its called "Punggai Chalet") I remember quite a few malay famiiles there with makeshift BBQs in the courtyard and its about 100-200m down the road :)
