Google Earth is really really fun and interesting.
Here are the coordinates for some observation sites. Just cut and paste the coordinates into the "FlyTo" and you can fly to our favourite observation sites!
Dempsey Road Ob Site: 1°18'14.51"N 103°48'34.73"E
Changi NSRCC Ob Site: 1°18'57.31"N 103°58'4.81"E
Tuas Ob Site: 1°16'50.75"N 103°37'49.27"E
Pulau Ubin Ob Site: 1°24'56.75"N 103°57'18.80"E
Changi Reclaimed Land Ob Site Entrance: 1°20'52.85"N 103°59'49.42"E
I leave it others to hunt for other ob sites.
Have fun!

Seems to me that there are more ob sites in the east and the north than the west... so i shall start the compliation of dark sites in the west.
Here goes:
1. Army Training area at Bukit Batok/Choa CHu Kang(Richard Low's site)
You can stay along the canal if you do not want to wander into the restricted area(but if you do, there are plains and knolls which are great): 1.36985957871 N, 103.736738194 E ( this is the bridge along the canal which is the entrance to either sides of the training area )
2. Lim Chu Kang/Jalan Bahar(cemetery area):
1.38107872295 N, 103.692253482 E
3. Tuas ave 7: 1.28483945361 N, 103.630506272 E
4. Pandan Reservoir: Anybody tried that area? The darker area is at the eastern side of the reservoir: 1.31316787571 N, 103.746521893 E
Suggestions:
Kranji Dam: anybody tried going there? :
1.43891414982 N, 103.740787938 E
PS: westerners(haha...) please keep this going on...

I'd like to share some thoughts on a potential ob site (please let me know if this has been posted before).
I was geocaching around the old changi hospital site last night. The skies were scattered with clouds but could see a great number of stars. Perhaps you might want to check out this site if you do not already know about it.
You can locate the area on google earth using this geocache location.

my 2 cents worth of contribution. another site worth considering is seletar reservoir. A basket ball court size field infront of the pagoda with panoramic view of the reservoir and the western sky. But light pollution is a problem from the kranji turf club on race nights.

Another site found in Jurong West area. Roads have just been built for further development(residential probably.) and the site is sth like Tuas. Pitch black, not gone in yet, will do so after the exams(will gather some people to go along..). I suspect the only light source is the nearby hdb flats. The lamp posts are not activated yet. Bus service 181 reaches there from the Boon lay interchange. 5 mins max walk from the bus stop.
Details:
Jurong West Ave 3(the part nearer to the PIE)
Area of around 3-4 soccer fields.
Anyone who wish to check out first might want to inform us here..

I was there on Sunday night - there is a gantry at the entrance. However, it has been bent upwards, so if the car is low enough it may pass through... have not tried it though, there's just too much traffic.
Cheers!

Are there any other places in the west that have good OB sites? How about the lim chu kang area? Where exactly is the OB site? For the east side, Changi (Beside the SAFRA golf course) is unsuitable now because the lights are turned on already.
