Great Red Spot and Europa Shadow Transit tonight from about 10:10 pm. The shadow should be just under the GRS! Good luck and clear skies!

Jupiter's Great Red Spot and its moon Io's shadow visible tonight from 8pm. They *may* even coincide exactly at about 9:45 pm.

King of the planets is back!!
30 June 2012 Saturday early morning before sunrise all 4 of its moons on one side.
1 July 2012 Sunday early morning before sunrise can see Great Red Spot.

Jupiter's GRS transiting at about 5:54am this morning when Jupiter is high up in the sky (60 degrees). Good opportunity to observe/image if the sky is clear and seeing is good.
