I went there for stargazing once and it was pretty good. The sky was very dark with the exception of a small portion of the sky being lit up by Singapore light pollution but it's unavoidable. The owner of the chalet is a stargazer too so he'll be happy to accommodate stargazers. There'll be a lot of insects and giant mosquitoes though so bring insect replant and long sleeved clothing.

^ isn't this chalet d punggai the exact same one where the regulars go?

the pics look exactly like the place we went to last year. the walls of the chalets are like swiss cheese, they let the (not so cold) A/C air all leak out.
