Yes. I heard it too. From Hamish Brown. He read it from the Today newspaper. Apparently there were some factual errors made but no matter, Singastro finally gets a mention! And Chris was promoted to "President"..heh heh.

Anyway, more good news. Straights Times finally got back to me!
The guy says he is a reporter assigned to cover the event but he has no links with the girl who runs the "Coming Events Page". So you will only get to see the article AFTER the event (should the editor agree to run it!)

Let's hope tomorrow would be clear skies. Tonight had alot of low moving clouds but above it was very clear. Mars shined so brightly just now between the clouds , it was like Venus!

Hi everyone,

Let's try not to make this discussion forum into a chat board.
I'm actually hoping that it rains soon so that it'll be clear tonight.

See you there!
Cheers,
Chris

All hail Chris!

I think it was a success last night! A lot of people actually came down after they saw the news in Today! The program ran smoothly and the ushers were adequate and helpful. And I believe almost all from Singastro turned up (those I know anyway..).

Cheers!

Hi All, good job on organising the Mars Watch. We enjoyed it tremendously looking at all the scopes, meeting all the friends.

Well done.
