Let's "commemorate" Comet McNaught ...

Alright, this is for sharing of your observation experience. Or, if you are arranging gatherings, star-gazing expeditions or just want some company to go observing together, you can shout it out here.

Actually I still can't see the tail in the image... :(
BTW, just talk to one of the lucky ones that came back from Australia.
They had 3 days of clear horizon and wow...so sad (for us!) to hear that the tail was around 10 deg long and visible in the late evening and we were not able to see it here!
More bad news..they did notice the comet dimming over the 3 days they were there...sigh...when will the clouds clear???

Hey guys,
Some links that I got from another astro group I joined :) Quoting from the email -

--

No one does it better than the guy who discovered it, Robert (Rob) H.
McNaught. Breathtaking - Stunning - Beautiful:

Of course his co-worker, Gordon Garradd doesn't do too badly either -
and HE SHOT McNaught SHOOTING McNaught <GRIN>

Can you imagine discovering that 17 mag fuzz ball and then have it
come right over the you and the telescope you discovered it with AND
be at her prettiest for you to take a portrait of her?

WOW!

I just came back from Anyer, West Java (6 deg South). Not much luck there as well, weather was clear during the day but cloudy from sunset onwards :(
