mirror shift

if i don't lock the primary mirror, if the primary mirror is in fact loose, will the mirror shift when the telescope swings from one end of the meridian to the other? thus being detrimental to astrophotography?

er...the screws aren't hexagonal...they're normal philips screws
it has 3 screws...i hope i described the correct thing to you


i tried attaching the pictures but the server said jpg picture is not allowed.

by the way, do you know if the jmi motofocus can be controlled manually in case the batteries for it fail?
