That must be one of the biggest amateur scope I ever seen, apart from the 'Yellow Submarine' [smilie=admire.gif]

It's a clear night tonight (11-Nov-11). Pity y'all aren't at TPL.
I've been meaning to peer through the telescope but have been missing you guys. Timing never right for me.
=(

Hi Gary, would you please tweet early if you're planning another public star gazing event at TPL.

Thank you.

Yea. That's one monster scope. I think I still left my dropped jaws at James's place when I first saw it last year. Thank goodness in it's original uncut form, it still managed to squeeze into the lift. LOL.

No worries. There should be plenty of opportunities to look through it. After the hassle we went through to bring it back to Singapore, I think it will stay here for sometime. :)

@Elnie: If Mother Nature can tweet earlier that a particular night will be clear for hours, I am sure I will tweet the TPL events much earlier. Haha. :)

Too many factors can affect my decision to officially announce the event even when the skies are expected to be clear - unconfirmed last minute changes in family or work commitments for example. But I will try my best.

Btw, I need to attend some seminar from tonight till at least next Wednesday evening. So I am 99% sure I will not be conducting any TPL events during this period. Other forum members please feel free to come to Toa Payoh (or any other place) and conduct sidewalk sessions and have a good time catching up with one another and making new friends!
