I've always known them not to reply emails immediately but normally get one in 2-3 days. They sometimes reply at weird times which makes me think sometimes the office in the US handles certain emails regarding processing.
I'm waiting for a new toy to ship to Vpost too ... dun get me worried ... hee hee ... :)
err bro....19/4 till today is 8 days liow leh.

Hi Vin,
have been following this thread only recently...does VPost gives substantial savings in compromise with the nitty-gritties that you experienced? I am thinking of using VPost too, but now you are giving me second thoughts. Have all along relied on private couriers, and EMS. Never lost a package or encountered difficulties......yet. Hmmmm....
I think the best part of VPost is to be able to get stuff that cannot be imported directly into our country. So how about savings compared to equivalents like EMS, USPS? Just wondering...

The savings are quite substantial. Especially if you group a few packages and ask them to deliver all at the same time.

The only problem with them is that they always make mistake. For example, one of my invoice is a paypal receipt. I have no idea how they recorded that receipt as a ebay receipt. The item was not bought through ebay and there is no 'ebay" word on the receipt. It is purely a paypal receipt but they recorded it as ebay.

So when the item arrived, they couldn't match it because they couldn't find the word ebay on the box. How stupid is that? Why can't they look at my name and the sender's name (which is in the paypal receipt and also on the box itself) and match those instead of hunting for the word ebay outside the box?

Because of this, they got it delayed.

Then another time even better. My sender's name is Joseph. Just Joseph written outside the box. Apparently, there was another Joseph on another package. Because of this, they couldn't match which "Joseph" package is mine. But come on...my name and my VP account number was written clearly on the box. How could they don't know which is mine? Because of this, delay another two weeks and lots of phone calls.

Sometimes it makes me wonder if those Vpost guys left their brains at home. And when they couldn't match, they never inform you. They just keep quiet until you call them and ask them what happen.

Vpost is a good concept and give us good savings......but you just have to pray that they don't screw up. Remember, their maximum liability is just SGD$60.

Now I think I will be getting back 60 bucks for my thousand odd dollars camera

Well, I have used Vpost many times before for the past 1-2 years. I have yet to lose a package. However, I have also received an email once in a while asking me for invoice which I have sent, or unable to match an outstanding invoice with a package which they received. I cannot blame them entirely as some of my packages have sender's name which is different from the person I bought it from in Astromart! But I just have to tell them and they will do it within 1-2 days. Only once I had to repeat myself 3 times. All my amazon books are via vpost.

Cheers!

Why not just send a "nice" letter to their CEO/President/Boss?
That works...if not the ST forum is a good place to shame national agencies that should be making us proud, not angry...

Now even better. Recently, I made a few US purchases and they are all sent to Vpost USA. In all cases, I forwarded them my invoice the moment after I made those transactions.

I am facing a few problems now. First, after sending them the invoice and after they recorded my invoice into their system, they now couldn't match the received item with my invoice. Then they keep asking me for the invoice. But I told them that they receive the invoice already and it is already in their system. Interestingly, when they ask me for the invoice, they stated the sender's name. That name is the same as the name that was in their system. How come they couldn't match? I mean my name is on the box, the sender's name is on the box, all these names are in their system...and they couldn't match??????

But worse of all is this. I bought a video camera worth more than a thousand bucks. UPS showed that the item has been received by Vpost USA on the 19/4. VPost didn't give me any email (and bill me for it) that they already received it. I send them an email with the UPS tracking number and said that they should have receive it. No answer to my emails. Then I called Vpost yesterday and they couldn't find it!!! And you know what, Vpost liability is up to SGD$60 dollars only. Meaning if they lose my camera, they will only return me 60 bucks.

Am I always bad luck with Vpost or what? But my impression is that they are not very professional and emails are never answered.
Oh ... that is quite alright...... I had a parcel with them for more then 3 weeks. Apprantely, USA is doing some checks on the parcels sent to Vpost. In the end, I still receive it.
