My first scope was a bluesky scope from carrfour...
and i was bitten and since owned many decent scopes.
i am grateful to my bluesky.

My first scope was a Toys-R-Us Eduscience 104mm Newtonian.
I popped a 4mm eyepiece in and got nothing. Took a while before I realised I should be using eyepieces with larger numbers!
Of the 3 eyepieces, one could not even come to focus! The mount was flimsy and I simply could not fine adjust to any object except the moon. I returned it to Toys-R-Us after 2 days, thanks to their money back guarantee.
I finally bought a "real" scope from Jeffery; an ETX90RA which I owned twice!

1st telescope was purchased out of school pocket money from Toys' R Us, a 40mm Edu-science refractor that came complete with a set of mini eyepieces, and table-top metal stand, all for SGD$30. Was so trilled with it, that i began making colourful cellophane-based filters so that i could use the red one on mars, the purple one on venus, and the yellow one on the sun (oops! u got me there)... could not imagine the excitement when i first saw venus, when it should be saturn. it could magnify so much that i could resolve the multiple fringes that stars had, and what amazing atmospheres they must embody. there after, once the fever caught on, the 60mm came next, and then upon realising that pocket money had increased to $20 per week, the 70mm one came not too long, at least without recess meals, the dough accumulated fast enough. finally, like everyone else, the astronomy shop at the SSC was a paradise for telescope eye-candy. caught sight of the immaculate 7mm Vixen ortho (0.965") that cost perhaps even more than the 60mm refractor that i had, and it was the first ever quality eyepiece since...

wahh, seems like so many people here own one of those edu-science refractor b4. makes me wan to go out and buy one

anyway, the most fun scope i have used unfortunately does not belong to me. it's actually rp's r200ss on the sphinx mount. goto is so fun. just hit 4 numbers and u get ur object. a short 2-3 hr session can easily result in 30+ objects, even under sucky sg skies. and yes, i'm still dreaming of a goto setup.

i would have to say my 152 tak.my wonderful wife bought it for me 2 x-mas ago and im still thanking her for it.the views through it are simply amazing.pin point star color correction is second to none.and its a beautiful scope.the tracking with the njp is great and dead on every time.sometimes i use my wo 110 as a guide scope and the njp doesnt even know its there.i have considered selling or trading the tak but i think it will be handed down to my son.the quality of the tak is incredable.this will be a scope to keep for a life time.
