Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!

@Airconvent: See my previous posts in this thread. Can definitely buy all one shot. Pay US$50 more to get them assembled it for you. I *guess* this set was released in US around 2007/2008. So they definitely have all the parts by now. Now then slowly released week by week to other countries. Maybe to clear stock?
Thanks Gary. I am surprised they are willing to sell it complete. It just shows they need to cater to the impatient. I thought the idea was for the reader to go on a slow exploratory journey learning more about the solar system each issue and building another part. At least that was how my robot series was done. You buying the whole set?

I saw this at Popular too and was kinda interested. But if you calculate it out. $12.90 x 52 wks = $670.80.
I will probably subscribe to this rather than take the chance of missing issues. You can do subscription and there are benefits to this. Go to Build a Model solar system subscription and you can see that they offer extras. Also delivered to you.
I searched the web and it seems that this kit had been sold in other countries previously to good reviews. Gonna take a dive and start a subscription...

Heh for those who have seen the physical issue, is each issue small enough for the postman to stuff into a standard HDB letterbox if he uses the master key?

Nope. If you see Gary's post of the pictures in the first page, the package for first issue is quite big and it is on a hard cardboard so cannot fold and not flexible. Will be quite difficult to stuff into HDB postbox.
If I subscribe I think I will get them to send to office. Since I work 9-6 post delivery is also during this time, sure to be able to pickup or have someone to pickup for you. Also post don't deliver weekends nowadays so I think delivery to office is good. Unless you decide to leave you company before 52 weeks are up.
Thereafter from 4 delivery onwards, the billing will be 4 issues @S$12.90 per issue monthly. Each delivery is on a monthly frequency. Having said, we also provide the option of allowing subscribers to jump start the collection by receiving 1st to 3rd delivey at one go. If this is the case, the billing would then be S$70.40( issue 1 to 7 plus all the freebies). Thereafter, you will continue to receive 4 issues @S$12.90 per monthly.
