Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!

arggg! cc...you are simply evil! now I will sleep in bed everynight, waiting for it to come and that does not happen until you receive the rest of the stuff!! so when are the rest arriving??
btw, thanks! I bought the dovetail plate from Joo Beng and it fits perfectly. Now to wait and see if the finder will fit the plate!

Sorry Rich missed ur last post. Elton's filters are still on backorder. Are any of you guys in a hurry to receive your items? I can send Elton's filters as a separate package if he doesn't mind; the filters are light and won't cost more than US$15 to ship separately.

Arief was so anxious, he met me at the Post Office, so he got to see everything as I cut open to box..heh heh.
His collimator is huge. But so was the GSO 2" barlow.
Next was David's LPR filter and a tiny 4mm Ortho wrapped in a ridiculously large bubble wrap...triple protection!
But of course, my right angle straight through finder was there.
First observation was the optics quality did not seem to be as good as the Skywatcher 8x50mm I just sold off. I suspected it was due to the diagonal more than the primary objective. Also, the finder did not fit the holder as perfectly as the skywatcher. But I can't argue this based on price as its much cheaper than the Skywatcher/Orion equivalent. And boy it feels good to be "aligned" with my scope diagonal as it means easier time for my poor knees. not too sure if I should bring it for Mars Watch though as it is not needed. I am averse to carrying too much stuff and this finder is big! for mars , a red dot finder would have suffice....what do you think?
I believe I already know the answer! :-)

Of course please bring the new finder, it would be more useful than the red-dot finder, and it wont take up much space in your car. We do want to see it too!
