Hi Jin Peng,

No the northern view is not blocked, check out my post on the 1st page, bottom. That night (08/12/05) when the sky was super clear, I could see Andromeda galaxy through my scope. The 5 main stars of Cassopeia constellation forming the "M" letter can be seen from the carpark, no problem.

Best regards,
Junwei

Hi all,

I will be observing there with my scope this coming Saturday , 07/01/06, regardless if it is cloudy or clear, I will be there. Unless of course if it is a heavy downpour, then I will pack up and take shelter. To take shelter, I just need to move down to one level lower of the carpark. I will be there from 8pm onwards, all are welcome to join anytime.

If by some lucky chance the sky is good, as good as the one on 08/12/05 (which I dont think so...), I will be overnighting. Also sometimes, if there is a heavy rain, the sky may clear up after the rain. (heavy emphasis on "may")

Best regards,
Junwei

Is it all right for me to turn up? Will like to take this opportunity to learn more about astronomy from fellow singastro members here.

Hmm... will make it if I'm not fishing in P. Ubin.

Cheers!
