Now even better. Recently, I made a few US purchases and they are all sent to Vpost USA. In all cases, I forwarded them my invoice the moment after I made those transactions.

I am facing a few problems now. First, after sending them the invoice and after they recorded my invoice into their system, they now couldn't match the received item with my invoice. Then they keep asking me for the invoice. But I told them that they receive the invoice already and it is already in their system. Interestingly, when they ask me for the invoice, they stated the sender's name. That name is the same as the name that was in their system. How come they couldn't match? I mean my name is on the box, the sender's name is on the box, all these names are in their system...and they couldn't match??????

But worse of all is this. I bought a video camera worth more than a thousand bucks. UPS showed that the item has been received by Vpost USA on the 19/4. VPost didn't give me any email (and bill me for it) that they already received it. I send them an email with the UPS tracking number and said that they should have receive it. No answer to my emails. Then I called Vpost yesterday and they couldn't find it!!! And you know what, Vpost liability is up to SGD$60 dollars only. Meaning if they lose my camera, they will only return me 60 bucks.

Am I always bad luck with Vpost or what? But my impression is that they are not very professional and emails are never answered.
Oh ... that is quite alright...... I had a parcel with them for more then 3 weeks. Apprantely, USA is doing some checks on the parcels sent to Vpost. In the end, I still receive it.
Interesting, they found my video camera last nite. And you know what, the sender used a super big box for the camera. The camera weigh 2 kg, but ended up the volumetric weight of the box is 20kg!!!! I ended up paying for 20 kg even though the box (with the camera inside)weigh only 3kg. Why on earth did he used such a big giant box?arrggghhhhhh

Yes, that also happened to me before. I ordered a cheap fresnel lens and they packed it into a huge box with tons of foam peanuts! I ended up paying $80 for shipping and the Fresnel cost me US$9.99!

Wah low...sorry to hear that bro....

At least now I learn a lesson. Next time must tell them to use the smallest box possible. I got a feeling I end up paying a lot for air and newspaper/foam inside that box. Imagine 20kg is 140 bucks.....should have told the seller to send me direct. Maybe direct is cheaper for a 3kg box.

No idea, maybe they didn't thought that a camera could be in such a big giant box.

Normally, manufacturers make their packaging just the right size for protection and shipping. So I do not worry if I am buying from the manufacturer. However, when buying 2nd hand stuff (when they have lost the original foam/box and used a bigger one with foam peanuts) or from budget stores (when they have only a few standard sized boxes), these problems tend to occur more frequently.

Vincent - I feel your pain!

my woes with them continues......

Paid for 4 packages (paid at the same time) to be send over to me on the 29th April.

Received 3 packages on the 1st week of May. The 4th package dunno go where. Inside my account, the 4th package is listed as "paid" but till now never receive.

Call Vpost asking them what happen to the 4th package. They say they dunno. Need to check.

3 days later, I call again, they still dunno where it is.

Inside is a 4mm TMB/Burgess Planetary eyepiece and my 5" Burgess lens which I send back to Burgess for cleaning and maintenance.

Nuff said about Vpost. Either I bad karma with them or they really need to be better.

This time I tracked one of my packages to see how long it takes for them to process the package after they received it at Compton.

Arrival date at Compton (Fedex tracking): 10 May 2006 (12:12pm)
Shipment Alert email from Vpost: 16 May 2006 (9:59 am)

Total days: 6 days.

I have another package coming through, and will monitor it again.
