FYI, this is another sample taken by a Chinese amateur in 2004 by FS-102 and Canon EOS300D. He mentioned that if it is taken by primary focus method, no color aberration is found (the magnification is not enough). However if he use a very high power eyepiece, slight color can be noticed at the limb.

To the purist, the moon is not pure white. There is some color, albeit slight 'brownish' to 'grayish' depending on which region you are photographing. Bringing out the color is a challenge in Astrophotography. However, it should not look uniformly brown or grey.

And in Beijing you get dust storms that turn whatever you are looking at yellow!
