I know John Teh; he doesn't have a scope, and he has been looking around to buy one.

Sure, it would be nice if this scope were to go to the second highest bidder. But this is Matthew's perogative, and since he has made a decision, we should respect that and just let the matter rest.

Hi,
Ah... my oversight. I should have read the post by Matthew about his re-listing it for a new auction period.

Apologies to Matthew: Hope you'll have a better closing price coming soon. It is no doubt a very popular scope, going by the amount of requests you received even after the auction is closed.

Tachyon made a good observation. Moi_societe has obviously been raking up high ratings in a dubious manner -- selling ebooks for 1cent! Now what would the motive of a person who does this be? I would be careful dealing with such people.

I actually have a better idea. why not open the scope for bidding here instead under a new auction thread? afterall, most people here you already know and there is already alot of interest here. and of course, you know where the scope is going and it will not go to waste.

alvinsclee : this is off topic...but are you really quitting singastro? :)

Some adopt this modus operadi to clock rapid + feedback. Actually win/win for buyer and seller but says little about trading practice. Fortunately, this will never work in Ebay.com or Astromart.
Must admit the previous winner has nice choice of pic though.

Come to think of it, actually indirectly you are my boss. The organisation you work for engages me from time to time. We need to talk…

To keep things moving, I have relisted it with a 3-day auction in hope that only bonafide bidders participate. In light of bearish astro market sentiments, my revised expectation would be flat at $1310.

Auction ETC: Saturday Midnight (11:45pm)

Once again, have fun bidding or sideline watching.
