DSLR for astro

Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!

I do suggest you do a comparison between the images of any Pentax (K100D->K5) vs the top end APS-C sized Canon camera at

Wow, its nice. Pentax image quality and colours is a tad better than Canon. Noise I think its comparable. But personally, I like full frame and I already invested heavily into Canon (3 L lenses... ouch) so not looking into changing system anytime soon.

And like what you mentioned, I rather buy an astro-CCD then to get the Pentax. Cos the imaging time is greatly reduced and has the full dynamic range plus the H-alpha range all in.
