ACC,

Sell off a few eyepieces (since that AFOV is so large, a few eyepieces can throw away) and you can buy that! Haa..13mm would be a good galaxy eyepiece with your Portaball giving better contrast on the galaxy than longer focal length (let say 20mm) eyepieces and yet it can frame open clusters very well and with extra space. The TFOV of that eyepiece is probably about the same as the 16mm T5! It will give a whopping 0.8 degree field at about 122x (medium magnification). If one uses a plossl to achieve the 0.8 degree, it would require a 25mm eyepiece and that gives only 63.5x magnification. I would really want to look through that so please buy it when it is out. It would be like falling in space I guess.

Heh rlow, vinsnr I must have had a brain-fart when I closed the competition pre-maturely... Considering this, and that nobody has any clue on what the Ethos price will be, I shall reopen the competition for new entries. New closing date will be this Sat 2359! Please add your guess to the list that Clifford prepared. I will use Anarcotes' online store as the guide for the price of this ep.

Canopus, the Ethos will work very well on your scope too wor. U get leh... I am sure you will be glad!
