WTS: Tasco 4" Starfinder Cassegrain OTA - Sold

Hi All,
Want to sell the above scope. Condition of OTA is good with Minor scratch on the body. Will include 1 no. standard 10mm plossl eyepiece. Added vixen style dovetail and red dot finder. Price is SOLD. Please PM me if you are interested. Thank you.

Hi. Just curious about the potential to convert this into purely for astrophotography. Pardon me if it sounds stupid but I've never tried this before.

Not so sure about astrophotography but the scope is good for astro viewing.

That looks like a Maksutov Cassegraine, so strictly speaking, it's more of a catadioptric, rather than a reflector. Just for info.

Yes, that's right Richard. Check the scope last weekend, the image thru it is right-angle image and sharp. Try it about 6.30pm, saw a bird on the tv antenna accros my house, able to see the eyes and feathers and looks very sharp. Then point it at the moon, although it is still bright, able to focus and the image is sharp.
