Scorpius Widefield

Post by cataclysm »

Almost forgot that I took this widefield target on the recent Mersing trip. I just left the setup in it's "auto" mode, which actually mean the camera was just clicking away while tracking on the GPD mount, while I was busy with the other imaging system. A lots of wasted shots as a result due to passing clouds, but still managed to gather sufficient subs for this final assemblage.

Imaged with: Vixen GPD, Modified Canon 350D, Canon 24-105mm EFL @ 28mm, F5.6, 16x3min @ ISO800

Hi, yes it's taken at Mersing.
This part of the sky will be in its full glory by May to June under Mersing's sky!

Hi folks, here is another widefield shot, of Crux & Eta Carina. Again it's affected by severe gradient from clouds and light pollution from Mersing town.

Vixen GPD, modified Canon 350D. Canon 50mmEF lens @ F4, 5x5min @ ISO800
