Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!

The 15" UC Obsession

The original setup in Sg will see not stars but street and stray lights.

Business opportunity for local retailers to sell some super premium blacker-than-black shroud. :)

My biggest problem with the UC design (and the Hubble Optics Compact) is that the secondary mirror is located outside of the main assembly. This is going to make it very prone to dew in our climate. And with our very enthusiastic bunch of amateurs, public, kids, etc..someone is going to touch that mirror.

I miss the place where stars shine bright, to gaze upwards in awe of the sight

Tachyon's Obsession has a big different, it uses Zambuto mirror. Ya, long time didn't hear from him.

Thankfully with a 16" f/4.5, that secondary is out of reach for most kids :)
There are a few 15" class telescopes in Singapore and at least one 18" that I know about. These instruments really perform their best in darker skies and on average I think that at least one of these medium sized Dobs go up north during the montly astro trips.
