Hi,
I have made a 10-inch f/5 Telescope. The primary mirror has wave P.V error 1/16th. Considers very good optics. Everything I have made by my self. The mount is dobsonian. Please comments on it include the price rating.
Primary Mirror= 10"
Wave P.V error = 1/16th
Glass = BK7
Thickness = 1.5"
Focal length = 1250mm
Thank you

If this is as good or better than 10" Discovery PDHQ, should worth USD1000+

Mike, please reserve for me if you're selling at this price.
ps: how about a comparo test between this scope and elton's teleport?

Dude, it's a dob...not a truss dob. US700 is not a bargain.....it's just about the price for a good dob.
Look at those Hardin Optical 10" dob. They are selling like 500. So if you have a good mirror, maybe you add in another 200

yup, i know it's not a truss dob, that's why i'm comparing with 10" pdhq (1/8th ptv wavefront only). A 1/16th ptv error reminds me of elton's zambuto mirror.
Mike, can you give more details about the mirror maker, mechanics, secondary optics, pics, etc ?
Astronomy lovers.

Hi,
Little bit about my self. I am Bangladeshi, I have a garments company here. Astronomy is my life. I have study on astronomy more then 17 years.
Hi to all astronomy lovers, I have not decided yet for selling it. The telescope image really surprising me when I discovering quality day after day. The image is very crisp and clear with details. The telescope is still collimating for better performance. If I decide to sell I will contact you. Actually the mirror I have made by my self. I took 3 months to grind for better accuracy and I am over 100% satisfied. The mirror is parabolic P.V Error 1/16th
I haven’t compare yet with others but I have few telescope at home, C5, MTO11C, C8, so I can compare with my own telescope, I have realized that my 10inch telescope much well.
Mount is my own made but it is different then others more high technology has used now I am thinking to control by computer. It is very heavy, I think it will be about 80 KG. Tube is heavy-duty PVC pipe.
Thank you for comments.

Elton's zambuto is way above 1/16
Actually I don't think you can tell much differences once it goes above 1/10

Just found out that Zambuto can make a 1/50th mirror!
Btw, Ed Taychert of Tscope informed me that he will start making 10" Tscopes by early next year. Better start saving now...
