Hi all,
As expected, my new tripod does vibrate alot and takes too long to settle down which is consistent with what reviewers have been saying. The time and tested method is to suspect some weight in the middle. But as I am not keen to add weight to the already loaded tripod, I am considering buying shock mount pads for the tripod legs. Does anyone have any experience with their performance?
Thank You in advance!

The "no brand" VSPs did work when my steel tripod legs were extended to maximum height. Tap the OTA can reduce vibration by half.
Been using it seated with tripod legs retracted so the VSP are kept in storage since. It doesn't have any positive effect when legs are 0 to 50% extension.
Aluminum legs I dunno , seen some cloudynights people build a big plywood triangle as a better spreader.

That's an awesome solution tbh. I'm going to try this out too. Did you end up buying this, Airconvent?
I always recommend Quick Extender Pro to people.

Hi Bialek,
Sorry, missed your post because it did not end up in my "new post list".
No I did not buy the new one as I am trying to see how to best use my Porta II instead.
