WTB GP vixen counterweight (FOUND)

Post by wucheeyiun »

I am looking for a vixen (one of those lime green vixen conterweight) gp type counterweight. There are basically 2 sizes, and i needed the smaller one.

If without choice , i will also take any other colour type (other-brand), but the diameter but be the smaller type as the larger ones will hit the tripot legs.

Realise that the 2" conversion diagonal , barlow and eyepiece require more counter balancing.

Hi,
I used 2 x 3.7Kg counter-weight when Ariefm71 put his previous C8 with 2" diagonal on my Vixen GP mount.

Hope the info is useful. Have a nice day.

Used counter weight may be around $40-$50, pending size, small medium and large...The most costly is of course the original vixen type...the cheapest is the china made clone types.

I got a old green vixen counterweight from albert for $50 :) and it match my gp perfectly,
and it did solve the vibration problem on the scope due to imbalance.
