problems are i) it's usually cloudy there - that was the only night out of three that i saw stars and only half of the sky was clear. after 2300hrs the cloud came in again ii) twin otters only allow max 10kg checkin per person, some time even not that, no excess luggage allow, sometime even checked in luggage can get bumbed out of the flight one is on. unless put an ultra compact 66mm APO or something in the hand luggage (5kg max).... but no mount... need to work on a small scotch mount....
for all the trouble, i think there are better obs spots in sabah that are more accessible - by car
