Hi all
There will be an observing session tonite at Dempsey Road if the sky is clear. All members on the CSN list would be informed by SMS once the session is confirmed; I will also post a confirmation message here. Note that confirmation may occur as late as 11pm.

Details at http://sky21c.tripod.com/cosmos/id9.html

cheers and clear skies!

I thought of making it an equipment fest as well so that even if sky is no good, everyone can get together and talk about their babies. I know chris yeo wants to take a closer look at the ETX90....but suddently it is raining heavily outside...so there's only 3 outcome tonight...it will clear up tremendously after the rain OR after rain still as bad as ever OR continue to rain, so event postponed .....so anyone has a crystal ball??

Thankfully, rain has stopped over Western areas...Any updates over at other parts of the island??

Hi,
19:40 - Still raining in Tampines... :( Had a bad observation session last night due to someone using the stadium, so very light polluted, looking forward for tonight, but .... just too bad... :(

Its midnight now...and still 100% cloud cover, so looks like this 3-day super long weekend is wasted! sigh...

I'm guilty of being off topic here but yes, I know! Just saw it a while ago.
Glad TCS showed the series but also hated them for pre-empting it for the slightest of reasons. Its torture for a trekker!

Ever since I went into astronomy, I have begun to view the show in a different light. Nowadays, I tend to question if some of the situations are possible. eg, the roaming dark planet that was teeming with vegetation even though there was no sun light, etc...

ps. skies looks real bad now, so unlikely to clear up this morning...sigh...
